I’m not sure I’d describe Nairobi as a “thriving” metropolis (too much crime, too many slums, too much grime) but it is expensive for what you get and i’m not sure why. Perhaps others can explain.

Nai and Mumbai share a few similarities; both thriving metropolis hubs buzzing with professionals and surrounded by great wealth in the midst of want. We obviously don’t have a fiilm industry to boast of and the music scene is still at its infancy stages.

Property values are relatively inflated in Nai, i’m planning to relocate in 2 months and will be paying 40k a month ($615) for a decent apartment which just $150 less than what i pay for a “luxury” pad in stato!
I bet you in the next 5, those prices will almost double as income grows, space shrinks and the middle class expands.

The blueprint that is vision 2030 will hopefuly chart the course that will move us out of 3rd world country status and propel us to catch up with our friends in the east.
