I saw her on CNN last night. Looks like she’s been promoted — she’s the new state department correspondent for CNN.
She looked nervous. It’s her first day at this new gig.
I’m sure many people have no idea she’s Kenyan — just because she sounds so totally British.
Hopefully she’ll provide a more balanced view of Africa (are you listening Jeff Koinange?)
We shall see…
Good looking gal…
Canadian “accent” coz she studied there in college…
Both Zain and Jeff have to tow the line in CNN. They don’t have the ‘freedom’ to present their views. The producers determine the balanced view.
Kenyans have really stepped up their game and can be found all over the world working as professionals in large multi-nationals. Hardly a day goes by without hearing of the successes ‘we’ are making outside Kenya.
Kind of embarassing for the Kenyans abroad to refer to the Kenyan missteps at home!
Indians can crow about the “successes” in India esp IT – see ke’s earlier post – but Kenyans can’t find much to point at that REALLY matters at home…
I wish I could say… we have Africa’s largest housing estate – not slum…
